Chateau de Montsymond is a gem! The newly-renovated property with a large heated pool and extensive fitness-sauna is truly a find and stands out from other similar properties. It is perfectly located close to several small villages and towns, and is totally private. The chateau itself has numerous en-suite bedrooms, game rooms, tv room etc. that were all put to good use by our party of 14 people. All in the party were highly impressed by the quality of the chateau itself, the large kitchen, etc. and there is no question we will return. An added bonus is the wine expertise and experience of the courteous and efficient host, Mssr. Christophe Gay. Highly recommended !!!

Beautiful location, outstanding comfort, high-luxury amenities, wonderful region. We were up to 20 guests and enjoyed every minute of our stay at Château de Montsymond !

The quality of the restoration and the beautiful interior design make for a lovely stay. We noticed and appreciated the many thoughtful touches that made our stay all the more special. The chateau catered perfectly for the 3 generations of our family.
The location is superb ! We thouroughly enjoyed all this lovely area has to offer, particularly the wineries. Walking through the vineyards each morning to get our baguettes will stay with us for a long time !

What an amazing Chateau ! We’va had a fantastic week. The children loved the pool and the adults loved the wine tasting. The summerhouse was really useful and we enjoyed a few barbecues by the pool. “Claire, Rob and Alex Grenhelp. Had a great time ! Finly, our 14 months old loved the swimming-pool. Visited many places, great locations, enjoyed our stay.

We had a marvellous vacation, lovely place...A piece of paradise !! Thank you for everything.

What a wonderful week we have had here at Château de Mercurey. Magnificient weather, enjoyed sampling the amazing Bourgogne wines and fabulous produce. We have enjoyed the pool, petanque, table tennis & billiards and have had the most amazing summer holiday. We will miss the birds of France and cant wait to return again soon !

Everything about our stay at Mercurey Castle was outstanding. We misjudged the time to get from Paris to Mercurey, but Christophe still waited an additional 2 hours for us to give us a personal tour and welcome (including local wine). The Castle is incredible; luxurious, yet still very comfortable. The location right next to the town makes it ideal to conveniently walk to buy food at the local markets or try some great local restaurants or try some of the very good local wine. I have enthusiastically recommended both Mercurey Castle and Christophe to everyone I come in contact with.

I wanted to use the chance to thank you again for the beautiful week we spent in Mercurey. In terms of quality, service, organization, extras, infrastructure and child friendliness I have never before made such a good experience on my travels in general, not only with Interhome.
You really make an effort to let the travel company feel at home and enjoy pure quality time on their holidays. All 11 adults and 5 children had an amazing time. We will be back in 2012. That’s for sure Please keep up the good work ! 

Difficile de quitter ces lieux de charme et de confort où nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Nous avons vécu le week-end de Pâques au bord de la piscine grâce au soleil rayonnant ! We were friends and family from Canada and Switzerland. The weather was hot and sunny everyday ! It was a perfect week in a perfect spot." Some highlights from our week :
- Cycling from Beaune to Chagny.
- Wine tastings.
- Climbing the hill to the Virgin Mary.
- Wonderful meals that lasted until midnight.
- Road trips to find Châteaux & Chapels.
- Picking cherries from the poolside tree.
- Creating lasting memories and planning our reunion dinner.
The views from the Château were magnificiant and the whole place is nicely decorated and very comfortable.

6 ans plus tard et nous voici de retour ! Encore une fois, un merveilleux séjour où chacun se sent à l'aise et chez soi dans ce magnifique environnement. La famille s'aggrandit avec Sophie (3ans) et Jonathan (5 mois). Dur dur de s'en aller...

Tout juste rentrés du Château de Mercurey, nous tenions à vous remercier. Notre séjour s'est très bien déroulé et nous avons été ravis de nous retrouver en famille, pour fêter la nouvelle année.

Thank you so much for a fabulous week in your beautiful Château de Mercurey ! We had such a wonderful time sampling the local wine, eating at "Le Mercurey", walking through the vineyards and enjoying all the delights of the Château. What a wonderful two weeks we have had at Château de Mercurey ! Can’t we stay here further ?
We were a group of friends – young/old, gay/straight, couples/singles, with children/not – from four continents – North America, Australia, Asia & Europe. We came together to celebrate some 50th birthdays. We loved your beautiful Château. 
The accommodation was perfect and the view unrivalled ! C’est extraordinaire ! We ate like kings and thouroughly enjoyed and explore this wonderful wine region. 
Some highlights in a perfect week : 3-star Michelin lunch at Bernard Loiseau, 3 star Michelin dinner at Lameloise, lunch at l’Abbaye de la Bussière, cycling along the voies vertes and to the Morvan, many fine dinners here at the Chateau, including Boeuf Bourguignon and galette de pomme made with French apples from the chateau garden.
It is hard to imagine a more perfect setting for a holiday in France. Thanks Sylvia & Christophe for creating this special place for others to enjoy and savour.

Oui, nous commençons à nous habituer à venir aux kasteliades où l'accueil est toujours convivial et l'environnement exactement adapté aux besoins de notre petite tribu. Le soleil était au rendez-vous ce qui nous a permis aussi de visiter la région qui est pleine de bonnes surprises, culturelles, gastronomiques, sociales. Merci donc à tous les acteurs de ces projets qui ont rendu notre semaine agréable et vivifiante.

Thanks for a spectacular stay at Chateau de Montsymond again! This was our second time at the Chateau and we had a blast with that party! The pool was a lifesafer during the heat wave of 30 to 37°C. Christophe & Sylvia, you have done such great improvements since last year, especially the walkway through the castle park was great !

Wine tasting, hiking up to see the statue of Mary, eating delicious food, swimming in the pool, playing billiards, playing bocce ball, riding the bikes, exercising in the weight room, visiting Beaune, shopping and touring La Moutarderie Fallot, visiting le Meix Foulot vineyard, touring the countryside. All in all a lovely and memorable week. Thank you !

13 of us had a lovely time in the Chateau Mercurey. 3 special occasions were celebrated: Christmas, a wedding anniversary and New Year's Eve. This was once in a life time experience and we relished it. The surrounding villages and towns were delightful, and the centuries of history mind blowing. We admire the fact that the chateau has been rescued and brought back to life. Well done ! 

Cher Christophe. C'était de nouveau une grande fête de séjourner avec toute la famille (17 personnes dont 8 enfants) dans l'une de vos magnifiques demeures. La dernière fois au château de Lans, et cette fois ci à Mercurey. Vu le temps magnifique nous avons passé beaucoup de temps au bord de la piscine et tous les soirs nous y avons dîné. Mais nous avons pu profiter également de toutes les autres possibilités: la salle de gym, le sauna, le hammam, le ping-pong, le jeu de boules... Nous en garderons tous un merveilleux souvenir et qui sait reviendrons nous la prochaine fois au château de Montsymond. Au nom de toute la famille, un grand merci !

Merci à toute l'équipe pour le magnifique accueil chaleureux au Château de Mercurey, la neige et le grand froid ont aussi accompagné ce beau Noël. La cheminée, l'excellent chauffage nous ont fait oublier le froid extérieur. Très belle demeure, bien équipée, que nous rêvons de découvrir aux beaux jours.

Thirteen long term friends and a fabulous week at the Château!

We have had a lovely week of exploring the beautiful french countryside on cycles, drinking wine and relaxing with bbq by the pool. A wonderful place to spend a week with friends. Thank you Christophe, I believe there are a couple of booking for 2019 already :-).

This week has been such a delightful experience. The expertise & explanations of wines from Christophe was truly enlightening. The pairing of wines & food with Willem exquisite. Dominique's massages topped of the magnificent weeks stay here. It is so quiet and relaxing. Merci beaucoup to all and I sincerely hope it's au revoir and not adieu.

We had a fantastic time at Chateau de Mercurey. The pool, petanque, table tennis and trampoline were all used extensively. The house itself was fabulous and was a great base to explore Burgundy. I really appreciated to opportunity to see your cellar and taste some of your wines, it was really a unique experience and a highlight for me.

Our stay at your Chateau de Mercurey so much exceeded our expectations that I don't know where to begin.  The serenity of the chateau and area was so obvious the minute we arrived.  Every part of your magnificent chateau was so accomodating, meeting every one of our needs. We especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the vineyards and the village homes... Every morning we would so happily walk to the quaint village of Mercurey for our pastries and baguettes...The children LOVED the trampoline and the pool... Their parents so enjoyed their visits to the local wineries, especially their visit with you!.. I could go on and on....
This was the best family vacation we have ever taken.  One week was not enough.  We chuckled at your apology for the cool weather - we were so happy to not have to deal with usual August heat!

Notre seul regret est d'avoir trop profité du lieu en raison du soleil omniprésent, en sacrifiant la dévouverte de la Bourgogne. Il faut revenir !

A truly memorable vacation. The views, the Chef, wines, and wonderful people..Oh and the Chateau ! Loved the Chateau de Rully, what a trip back to history !

We had a wonderful and joyfull week in Château de Mercurey. Après une semaine royale en Bourgogne je repars vers la vie de tous les jours en y amenant beaucoup de bons souvenirs...

This year we hold our second painting holiday for 15 Australians artists at the Château de Mercurey. This was our 8th painting holiday in France and the first time that we had returned to the same Château for a second time. Why ? The facilities are first class, Toma is a superb Chef and a most helpful person. Again we had a very enjoyable time.
